Stem Cell Transplantation. During this process, the stored stem cells were reintroduced into Adriana's body. Her new stem cells are then expected to migrate to her bone marrow and in time will reconstitute her immune system. This point in the process is often termed the Re-birthday, because those who have undergone a stem cell transplant are "Reborn" and have been given a second chance at life!

"Duke is so AMAZING! I woke up to such a pleasant surprise 🦋♥️🙏🏼"

"Happy Birthday to me!!!! Transplant was a success! Thank you to my nurses that made this day so special 🦋 and for my family that were live via zoom to experience this important day with me!!! " #AdrianaStrong👊🏼

"Thank you Lord for allowing us to witness my sister-in-law's stem cell transplant this afternoon. It was a family affair via zoom. It was an emotional and eye opening experience. Medicine has come a long way. We are grateful for the staff at Duke University for taking care of Adriana when we couldn't be there to provide her care. The Garcia’s are Eternally grateful! Let the healing begin!!!" -Angie Garcia
